This October, a group of editors from the glazing and building press enjoyed a visit to Deceuninck’s global headquarters in Hooglede-Gits, Belgium. The visit gave editors an insight into the technology behind Deceuninck’s products and an opportunity to see the company’s state-of-the-art extrusion plant and testing centre.
A highlight of the tour was Deceuninck’s latest innovation, Linktrusion™ technology, used in Deceuninck’s composite 5000 window system. Linktrusion™ is a unique, patented technology which makes extremely strong, high performance windows without the need for steel reinforcement. With slim sightlines and a huge choice of colours, these windows are a true alternative to aluminium.
The trip ended with an overnight stay in historic Bruges and a visit to the Menin Gate war memorial and a military cemetery in Flanders.
Deceuninck MD Rob McGlennon said: “We had a fantastic visit to our global HQ this month. The editors were interested to learn more about the company – it’s in the top 3 systems companies in most major world markets – and our values. They were particularly impressed with Linktrusion™ technology and our market-leading colour range.
“We’re in regular contact with the press but nothing compares with actually seeing our products and company in action. The visit was a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other in a relaxed setting and we hope the editors took a lot from it too.”
